My Family

I'm a mid-west girl through and through, having moved several times as a kid. I have lived in Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Illinois, Oklahoma, and California before we landed here in Texas in 2008. I've been married to Jonah for almost 25 years and we have 3 boys who attend LCA; Gabriel- class of '24, Luke- class of '27 and Ryder- class of '30. Willoughby, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, rounds out our family and provides great joy to the boys. My favorite pet was our pocket-pet hamster, Hammizilla. He was a happy, nut-chewing, poo-tossing, night-spinning delight. RIP. I also LOVE 80s music and roller skating. Couple the two together and I feel just capital!

What do students get at Legacy that they won’t get somewhere else?

Opportunities! I'm a big proponent of my boys “trying things.” I love that at LCA they can do just that AND in a nurturing and encouraging environment. They have been able to grow and develop through mission trips, fine arts and sports with which they had no prior experiences. We've seen them mature and find lasting friendships with other kiddos who have similar interests. Thankful that LCA seeks to invest holistically in each child by providing those opportunities to step out and try something new!

What is your favorite book, show, or movie?

Alicia's dog, Willoughby.

Much like my affinity for 80s music, I love 80s movies, Top Gun being the top of my list! “Talk to me, Goose!”
