My Family

I was born and raised in Dallas and have been working in Christian education since 1998. My husband, Blaine, and I have been married for 30 years and have raised 3 wonderful sons. Our oldest son, Macauley, is a video game producer and he works for the Sony company, Naughty Dawg. Our middle son, Tyler, is a Friar in the Catholic church and currently resides in Irving, but will be moving in August to St. Louis to begin his masters program in Spanish. Caleb, our youngest son, works for the gardening division of Calloway's nursery while attending school on the Technical campus of Collin College. We have three Labrador Retrievers, Avery, Noah and Gimli. I love doing anything outdoors and love spending time with my family! I have a passion for working with young children and truly feel it is a calling from God.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

What I love most about teaching at LCA is watching the kids grow and develop throughout the year. It's so rewarding to see them overcome things they were struggling with at the beginning of the year and seeing them master these certain task by late spring. I think I get as excited about this as the students do!

What are you passionate about? What brings you joy?

I am passionate about working with young kids. You truly can't have a bad day working at LCA. If you come into work with some of your own burdens they quickly melt away when you see that first smile coming down the hall towards your classroom. Nothing on earth could fill you with more joy than working with these sweet students each day! It's such a blessing!
