My Family

Hola, my name is Dayana Tinker, I am originally from Quito, Ecuador – South America. I was born and raised in Ecuador where I studied and received my teaching degree.
I love spending time with family, I have been married for 21 years, and we have two kids, David (23) and Mathew (15). I have many hobbies, but I most enjoy painting with acrylic, crafting, playing tennis, riding my bike, and Zumba. I have 15 years of experience teaching. Previously I taught at Stonebriar PALS, then continued with Frisco ISD. I started with LCA four years ago when they opened Spanish Immersion.

Throughout my life, God has taught me to trust and believe in his timing and plans for me. I am beyond excited and blessed for this wonderful opportunity he has given me to serve all the families at Legacy Christian Academy, sharing the love of learning another language and teaching my native language.
As a Christian educator, it is my role to model God’s grace through my instruction and create paths for students to grow mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

What I love the most about Legacy is that I am surrounded by believers that share the same love for God. I can freely pray at any time, and I can worship with my students..

Where do you attend church, and how are you involved?

My family is currently attending Prestonwood North Campus and I will be serving at the Vacation Bible School.
