My Family

My husband Brian and I are celebrating 32 years of marriage this year. We were introduced many years ago by my husband's nephew, a 1st grade student of mine at the time. We are blessed by our three children all of whom are LCA graduates!

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

I am excited to teach math to all types of math learners! Math can be intimidating for some and that is why I love to offer my “Math Camp Extravaganza” which is all hands-on math each summer! Whether you “LOVE” math or not, all students can find success in math! It brings me great joy to have the honor of serving the Lord by serving the students and parents at LCA!

What is your favorite scripture? Why?

My favorite verse is Psalm 34:1, “Bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in your mouth!”

When I was about to turn 18 and a new believer, I kept asking God what did he have planned for me to do! On my 18th birthday, I had several prayers that I was asking God for answers! All that would come to me was Psalm 34:1. Each birthday, my Dad, who was not a believer, always got a birthday cake from our favorite bakery. My Dad asked the bakery to put a scripture on my cake. That evening, when it was time for cake, I was shocked that the scripture Psalm 34:1 was written on my cake. All day, I knew in my heart, that each step, required only that I trust the Lord and praise Him. He knew exactly what I would need, all I needed to do was trust Him! Here I am, many years later, I know that when I trust Him, keep my eyes on Him, all that concerns my family and me is in His hands. He will get us where we need to be for His glory!
