My Family

My husband, Benny and I met in Austria while attending Bible school and have been married for 17 years. Our son, Charlie (11) and twin daughters, Skylar and Tela (9) attend LCA. We also have a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier/Poodle mix named Pepper. I grew up living on both coasts and moving around frequently as a Navy brat. I love to travel, enjoy running, reading, sports, music, art, and being outside appreciating God's creation.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

Legacy is a special community. Our students are known and loved by our teachers and staff. We work together guiding our students and pointing them to Christ. Prior to coming to Legacy, I worked in college preparatory independent schools and with neurodiverse students. The Lord was preparing me for my role in the Legacy Learning Center at LCA. I am blessed to be able to work with and worship alongside our amazing students and colleagues. The best part of my job is engaging with and encouraging my students. They are all bright and capable and the Lord has gifted each of them in unique ways! I love seeing the growth that occurs from freshman to senior year and celebrating the wins that happen along the way.

What is your favorite scripture? Why?

One of my favorite verses is Deuteronomy 31:8 which says, “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” After being home with my young children for 7 years, I was praying about going back to work in education. I visited LCA on a prospective parent tour and immediately felt at home. I began seeking employment opportunities here and prayed about having my kids be able to attend also. God opened doors and brought this verse to me several times, reminding me of His faithfulness and provision.
