Professional Schools Program
The Professional Schools Program (PSP) is an enhancement of the academic framework LCA Upper School students experience which incorporates the best of a University academic structure.
Legacy Christian Academy’s Upper School is subdivided into 5 Professional Schools: Business, Medicine, Engineering & Technology, Humanities, and Fine Arts. In addition to a liberal arts foundation of 22 credits, each professional school has unique course options, additional areas of concentration, and integrated opportunities for experiential learning, symposiums, and internships. Students begin exploring professional pathways starting the second semester of their freshman year.
The program increases student engagement, enthusiasm, and insight as they explore possibilities more personalized to their interests, passions, and convictions regarding the Lord’s leading and calling on their lives.

The Process
A student’s journey with the Professional School Program begins their freshman year as they gain exposure to various schools and do a deep dive of themselves utilizing YouScience, a computer-based aptitude/career assessment tool.
Once a student picks a school pathway, the dean of their respective school supports them in course selection and exploration that allows them to pursue areas of passion for the following school year.
Students have the opportunity monthly to hear from successful professionals in their area of interest through Professional School Symposiums and engage in further study during PSP Activity times.
