Professional Schools Program

School of Humanities

Humanities

The school of Humanities within the Professional Schools Program (PSP) at Legacy Christian Academy is consistent with the school’s mission to equip leaders for college and beyond. Through this unique academic structure, students will have exposure to education (i.e., rigorous and diverse coursework), exploration (i.e., symposiums and guided studies), and experience (i.e., research and internships) with a concentrated focus in their field of study.

In their pursuit of classroom experience, students may elect to explore specific concentrations within the School of Humanities or choose an interdisciplinary approach that exposes them to a more general course of study.

Capstone Experience

Legacy Christian Academy

Devin Fitzhugh (`20) completed her internship at LCA, learning all of the intricacies of the sound booth in the Legacy Performing Arts Center and live broadcasting at Legacy Athletic events.

“I enjoy getting the opportunity to work with professional equipment and broadcast to my school. I feel like this internship will help me develop the skills I need to become a broadcaster myself someday.”

Ryan Schroeder (`20) and Gabe Williams (`20) helped to broadcast the varsity girls' game online.  Ryan and Gabe both have an interest in Sports Broadcasting and interned at Legacy with Mr. Mosley to gain experience in the field.

Capstone

Seniors within the PSP School of Humanities have the opportunity to participate in a Capstone Project through either an internship or research project within their specific field of focus. These Capstones will be presented in a Senior Showcase before completion of their Senior year with an opportunity to reflect and celebrate all that they have learned throughout the process.
