What is provided during the completion of a full psychoeducational battery:
- Consultation with parents to review background regarding developmental history, health history, academic strengths and concerns, extracurricular activities and interests, and social-emotional tendencies
- Review of input from teachers
- Review of report cards, progress reports, and standardized testing
- Cognitive testing (e.g., verbal comprehension, fluid reasoning, working memory, long-term retrieval, processing speed, perceptual reasoning, and auditory processing)
- Achievement testing (e.g., reading, spelling, mathematics, written expression)
- Attention and behavioral screening
- Additional testing components when necessary (e.g., phonological processing, receptive and expressive language, fine motor integration, and handwriting)
- A comprehensive written report that includes pertinent background information, detailed test results, clinical analysis of performance, diagnoses (if applicable), individualized recommendations/accommodations
- Post-evaluation conference with parents to discuss evaluation and recommendations
