Laura Stebbins has joined our lower school staff for the 2016-2017 school year and will lead the Legacy Learning Center for grades K through 4. Laura is certified to work with students with learning disabilities and was most recently on staff at Grace Academy of North Texas in Prosper, TX.

“I am blessed and excited to meet your children,” comments Laura. “I strive to know your child and how they learn best, so I can adapt my teaching style to suit their style.”

Laura graduated from Winona State in Minnesota with her B.S. in Mass Communications. Prior to entering the educational realm, Laura spent several years in the advertising industry, working at J. Walter Thompson and from her home office when her children were small. Laura is pictured with her three daughters, now 15, 17, and 23.

When Laura isn't working, you can catch her taking a hot air balloon ride, but that is as risky as she gets. When it comes to reading, Laura's most recent book was To Heaven and Back by Marc C. Neal. She felt that the book enriched her life by helping her understand God's purpose and plan in her life.

When asked what three things Laura was looking forward to most this year, she stated that she loves how every day of teaching is different and exciting, she enjoys getting to know her students as they spend time together, and she looks forward to seeing her students grow and learn–her primary motivation for teaching.
