From the moment you first laid eyes on your baby, their safety became your top priority. You thoroughly researched everything; the most nutritious formula, the highest-rated infant seat, the best child-proofing gadgets, the safest family car. Basically, you searched for every way to give your child the safest environment possible.

What about your child’s safety at school?  At Legacy Christian Academy, we are committed to a partnership with Christian families. Foundational to that partnership are three promises we make to every family. We will:

Know your child.

Love your child, as though they were our own.

Prepare your child for college and beyond.

How do those promises tie into ensuring your child’s safety? By knowing your child, we are able to help you and your child navigate the various developmental stages they will face while in school; childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. Our guidance department provides students with Biblically-based, developmentally appropriate opportunities that are critical for emotional health and well-being. When students feel emotionally safe, they are able to focus on learning and thrive. Every student who enters our campus is made to feel valued and important, each being greeted by name by at least one faculty member who personally knows them.

When we love your child as though they were our own, we place top priority on their physical safety. Just as you fortify your home to protect your family, we fortify our school to protect your child and the entire LCA Community.  Our campus security blueprint is multifaceted; two armed security officers on campus at all times, bullet-resistant film on all first-floor windows and doors, attended double-buzz entry system with “man traps” on each campus.  We also have 24-hour video surveillance, with cameras covering all parking lots and exterior doors. Anyone requesting entrance to our campus is required to provide their driver’s license and is issued a guest badge to be worn while they are on campus. All exterior doors are locked and accessible only with a monitored key card. Students and faculty are instructed not to open any exterior doors for anyone.

Preparedness Safety

In promising to prepare your child, we focus not only on academic preparation but also on teaching age-appropriate life skills and strategies. Our kindergarten students learn how to make a 911 call for an emergency. Middle School students hear about the dangers of vaping. Upper School students discuss peer pressure. Through these preparedness efforts, we aim to equip your child with knowledge and confidence from a Biblical perspective to tackle the many challenges they may face.

As you contemplate a school for your child and family, consider the Legacy difference. Our admissions team is eager to connect with you and share all we have to offer. We are a close-knit community and a place your family will call home.
