Who let the D.O.G.S. in? The Watch D.O.G.S. that is…but they are not your ordinary canines – they are Dads Of Great Students. We are excited to bring this program to Legacy to enhance our campus safety and provide another set of eyes and ears for that extra sense of protection.
Watch D.O.G.S. is a nationwide initiative offered by the National Center for Fathering. It started 10 years ago as just a couple of dads wanting to have a more active role in their child’s education. The program organizes volunteer fathers and father figures and encourages them to be active and positive male role models for the students.
Having the Watch D.O.G.S. on campus will afford men in our community the opportunity to have a physical presence at Legacy and make a positive impact on our students. The men who volunteer for this program will get to interact with their own children and experience the dynamic educational environment first-hand.
