LCA Request for Student Records

Procedure for requesting student records:

  1. Parent completes and submits the “Request for Student Records” information below.
  2. Once the “Request for Student Records” is approved by the Legacy Business Office, student records will be emailed directly to individuals indicated below.
  3. Please allow 5 business days to process the request.

If the student is withdrawing from Legacy, we will email the items below, directly to the receiving school.

  • Report cards
  • Standardized testing
  • Transcripts (grades 9th– 12th)

If the student is applying for admission at another school, Legacy will email the following items to the parent:

  • Current and 2 prior year’s report cards
  • Current and 2 prior year’s standardized test scores

LCA Parent Request for Student Records

  • Legacy Policy for Cumulative Records: Cumulative records are the academic record of the student and do not generally contain a discipline record. In accordance with state law, parents may view their child’s cumulative record upon request. In order to view a student’s cumulative record, the parent must make arrangements with the headmaster. In the event a parent requests a release of records, the request must be made in writing to the admissions office and will be fulfilled within five business days in accordance with the Continuous Enrollment Agreement. Each parent should ensure that all records submitted to Legacy and maintained in the school information system are up-to- date, including family legal records pertinent to custody, education, and parental rights. .
