My Family
My husband, Rick and I have been married for 31 years. We moved to Texas from Bloomington, Illinois in 2019. In Illinois I worked as a School Nurse for 12 years and coached cheerleading at Cornerstone Christian Academy. We have 2 children. Our daughter, Allison lives here in Dallas and our son, Drew lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife, Hope. We have 2 dogs. Cali, a Bernese Mountain Dog and Riley, a Flat-coated Retriever/Border Collie mix. Together, Cali and Riley weigh 160 pounds. We continue to enjoy exploring the place we now call home.
What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?
Working at LCA has allowed me to continue to work in school health and in an environment that promotes a Christian worldview. I am so thankful for the Lord's provision and for the opportunity to care for, pray with and serve LCA's students, faculty, staff and community.
What is your favorite scripture? Why?
Psalm 121:1-2 NIV
This verse has provided such peace, comfort and strength to me in the midst of life's circumstances. I rest in the promise of the Lord's presence and help when I look to him.
