My Family

I am from a breeder in a little town called Ivanhoe, Texas. Mrs. Snyder saw a video of me when I was 5 weeks old and immediately fell in love with me and paid for me so I could be hers. Or LEGACY'S really because she tells me all the time she prayed and prayed for the perfect dog to bring joy to all the students, and God told her it was me. She named me Annie because I have curly red hair and I help people believe, “The sun will come out tomorrow….” I love walks, playing fetch with the tennis ball, hanging with my half-sister Millie, doing tricks for treats, CUDDLING MOST OF ALL, and I'd lick your face all over if I could but my mom says therapy dogs aren't allowed to do that.

Why do you choose to work at Legacy?

I LOVE my job!!!! When Furry Fridays roll around, I somehow always know and am ready by the front door waiting for my mom to brush my hair and put my green “Annie” bandana on. And when we pull up in the parking lot, my heart starts racing and I press up against the window because this is my favorite day of all!! This is the day that my job is to cuddle and love all day long! The best part is when students see me and yell “Annnnnie!!” Their faces light up like I just made their day. They come visit me if they're sad, and I'll jump in their laps and give them my puppy love because I somehow “know.” They come see me when they're happy and just wanting to say hi and watch me do a trick. And sometimes I walk down the halls and go take love to them when they don't even realize they need to see me at all. FRIDAYS ARE THE BEST DAYS EVER!!!

What hobbies do you have? Or what is a fun fact?

Fun fact is that when I'm hungry, I push my bowl with my nose (LOUDLY) all the way across the room to my parents so they'll get the hint. Or sometimes I just go put my paw in the bowl and stand there politely until they fill it up. Another fun fact is that I sneeze when I'm nervous or excited.
