My Family

I grew up in South Texas in a town called Kenedy, TX. My graduation class had 51 people in it. I met my husband at Abilene Christian University when his sister became my roommate. We have 3 grown daughters who all graduated from LCA and a grandson, Luca. My husband and I have 2 cats and 1 dog. It surprises no one when I say that my favorite thing to do, besides spending time with my grandson, is to read books.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

I love the family environment that is created at Legacy. As a teacher, I form relationships with students and am able to keep that relationship going through their Upper School years and even into college. Watching my students grow and blossom into the amazing people that are on fire for the Lord and using the gifts God gave them is such a joy.

What is your favorite scripture? Why?

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.” Philippians 4:8 (NIV) – This is my favorite verse because it reminds me to focus on the positive things that come through Christ Jesus.
