My Family

I am married to my husband of 26 years and we have four daughters, ages 22 down to 14. We also have a crazy black goldendoodle named Beau whom I love dearly. I grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and knew I wanted to be a teacher from a young age. I have always been a people person, a lover of reading, and a big fan of any sport that happens to be in front of me. (I especially love Ohio State and any Dallas teams though.) I love leisurely family conversations over dinner, late-night talks with my daughters in the kitchen, beach vacations, shopping, and keeping myself healthy.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

The students are my primary passion at LCA. I love getting to know them, hearing about their weekend activities, and engaging with them about what we're reading and studying in class. I always tell them that when I least want to go to work, the moment I walk in and see their faces, everything changes.

What is your favorite scripture? Why?

My favorite Scripture is Psalm 116:1-2 because it speaks of God's loving attentiveness to me as well His faithfulness. I also love Psalm 34:8 because it mirrors what my desire is for my students: that they would experience for themselves the goodness of a relationship with Christ.
