My Family

Our family moved to the suburbs a couple of years ago. I have three kids that attend LCA. Our family's favorite activities include anything that is outside, from skiing in the winter to jet skiing in the summer. Our family loves to try new things, we recently picked up pickleball and we love it! If we are not at one of our kid(s) sporting events, then you will find us hosting Family Game Night or Family Movie Night. If you are about to embark on a new adventure, count us in, the Kolendo Crew would be happy to join you.

Why do you choose to work at Legacy?

I remember at a very early age I would play pretend “teaching” my stuff animals. I never stopped teaching. I graduated from Texas A&M and started teaching middle school right out of college. I loved every second of it. I love education but most of all I love JESUS. Legacy joins my two passions together. I am one of LCA’s biggest fans and as part of my job, I get to share with prospective families what makes LCA unique. I feel blessed to be a part of this campus both as a parent and an employee.

What hobbies do you have? Or what is a fun fact?

My husband and I have been married 20 years this past May! Yay! When we first got married we named our dog(s) after people in the bible. We had Meshach & Abendigo, they were cute. Currently, we have two dogs Obi-Wan-Kenobi and Chewbacca, and my youngest is trying to talk us into getting a third dog and naming him Darth Vader.
