My Family

I am blessed to be a wife, mother and now a grandmother! I have been married to Greg for almost 38 years and we have three beautiful daughters. My oldest, Lindsay, lives in Longview with my son-in-law James and they have two gorgeous daughters – Scarlett and Hazel. Lauren is my middle daughter and is married to Marcus. They live in McKinney and have three adorable children – Hayes, Camden and Monroe. My youngest daughter is Leanna and she is getting married this December to Myles. The only “baby” I have left at home is Romo! Romo is my precious Maltipoo. As you can tell from his name, I LOVE the Cowboys!!!
I was born and raised in Dallas. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I was raised by two wonderful Christian parents and became a believer at age 8. We attended First Baptist Church in Dallas. In fact, Greg and I were married by Dr. W. A. Criswell! Greg and I continued the tradition and raised our daughters there as well. We now attend Prestonwood's north campus and absolutely love it. Greg and I love to travel, but spend most of our free time playing with our grandkids. We are truly blessed!!

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

I love teaching at Legacy because of the students. Having relationships with the students is what is most important to me. Academics is important, yes; however, getting to know them on a personal level is the most rewarding. I love it when they want to spend time in my room before school or during activity period just to hang out and talk. I especially love it when they come to visit, call or text after they have graduated.

What hobbies do you have? Or what is a fun fact?

Fun fact about me is that I was the Trace Evidence Examiner for the Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas (the Dallas Crime Lab) for 8 years. I LOVED the job, however, I decided to stay at home with my children after a short while. I began teaching when my daughters started school at Grace Academy of Dallas. I taught a Science lab for K – 6th grade part-time.
