My Family

Born and raised in Dallas, husband and I attended Lake Highlands High School. All three of our children started at Legacy in Pre-K. Daughter Gracie ('22) is obtaining her degree in Biology from the University of Alabama, son Henry ('27) is involved in the Athletic Training program, Shooting team, Band, and is looking forward to participating on the Golf team next year, daughter Mary Katherine ('28) sings at Middle School chapels on the Praise and Worship team, and is on the Middle School Cheer team. The Lord faithfully placed our family at Legacy 16 years ago. He allowed me to serve our beloved school in various capacities for 13 years before serving full time. He graciously placed me at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in the Luke Waites Child Development center as a Dyslexia Therapist many years ago with plans for me to serve our students here at Legacy in the Learning Center today. I began subbing at Legacy when Mary Katherine was in Pre-K, and subbed for 6 years before starting back full time as the Lower School Learning Specialist. I have served as Room Mom too many times to count, Grade Level Coordinator, PTF Board as the Volunteer Coordinator, Bible Study small group leader and greeter, Admissions Parent Ambassador, and served on the Drug Task Force. Attended Bible Study Fellowship for over 10 years as a Children's Leader and greeter.

Why do you choose to work at Legacy?

Working at Legacy is a privilege and a gift that I hold with high regard. Legacy is truly my family, and this Godly family supports, loves well, prays faithfully, comes alongside each other, and encourages each other.

What are you passionate about? What brings you joy?

I am passionate about providing assistance, support, and therapy to our students who deserve the help and academic accommodations they need to be successful. Reading Comprehension is a passion I have because of the deep correlation to helping students read and comprehend the Bible. Witnessing students progress with reading and literacy skills brings me great joy!
