My Family

I grew up in Memphis, TN, but have lived in Frisco since 1993. I started by college career as a music major then fell in love with kids who learn differently and switched to special education where I have been ever since. I have been a part of the LCA community since 2004. My three amazing kids attended and all graduated from LCA '16,'18, and '20. You can find me walking the school and neighborhood with my sweet rescue pup, Sadie. My most recent obsession is pickleball.

Why do you choose to work at Legacy?

Simply put, I choose to work at Legacy because I believe in the mission. We are a school that focuses on equipping students to be accomplished pursuers of Christ. The education we provide is built on loving Christ centered relationships. While here, our children are taught to love God and love others. I cannot think of a better environment to carry out our ministry.

What are you passionate about? What brings you joy?

I am passionate about reaching ALL learners. Our students at LCA are gifted in many ways. Some learn differently. It is the way God made them. They are not less than but made in the image of God. Giving students the tools they need to reach their potential brings me great joy. Welcoming and walking with children of differing abilities and talents goes a long way toward embodying the economy of God and His kingdom. By serving students who learn differently, we move our school closer to becoming the kind of faith-filled community where all abilities belong and flourish.
