My Family

I am from St. Louis, MO, where my husband Paul and I met. We have been married for 31 years. Paul is a Dallas Seminary graduate, works as an associate pastor and residential painter. We have two children, Madison and Clayton. Madison is a 2014 LCA graduate. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Supply Chain Management from University of Texas at Dallas and has worked at Interstate Battery for the past five years. Clayton graduated from Legacy in 2018 and received a Bachelors Degree in Sales and Marketing from Texas Tech. He works as an account manager in the local area. We unfortunately have one terrible pet, Ruthie (cat) who forced her way into our lives four years ago and continues to exploit our kindness daily.

What's your favorite LCA memory or best teaching moment?

My favorite memories derive from the days spent on campus teaching when my children were enrolled at LCA. It was such a blessing to have three of the four members of our family on the same campus, passing each other in the halls, cheering together at pep rallies, and praying together throughout the school day. Since my children graduated, I continue to find joy working with students, preparing them for their college fit and future endeavors.

What are you passionate about? What brings you joy?

I love spending time with my family. I look forward to my summers off so that I can spend even more time with them. I had no idea that adult children would be so fun. We spend every Sunday during the NFL season in front of the television cheering on the Los Angeles Rams and the Arizona Cardinals, with a photo-worthy Super Bowl spread every week. Once a season, we plan a trip to see one of the teams play on their home field. When not with my family, I train as an equestrian two to three times a week at the barn where I find peace and fear.
