My Family

I grew up in Plano, Texas and have stayed in North Texas because I love our community and the relationships we have here. I have two Eagles here at LCA, Taylor and Cole, and it is such a blessing to be here together and serve the LCA community. We have a Goldador (lab + cream golden retriever) named Moses who is completing his therapy dog training and testing to join our therapy dog team here at Legacy! For hobbies I love to read, write, go on walks with my family, travel to visit friends and extended family, have dinners with local friends, do events with our church, and try new crafts or home projects.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

What I love most about working at LCA is the close community and that our Biblical worldview can be fully present in the counseling office. Our close community is such a beautiful blessing, both as a parent and a staff member. We love each other well, and I get to see staff praying over parents in the workroom, parents praying over staff in the hallways or during prayers walks, and so many other visible ways we care for one another. I also love that we are supported so well here to do our best work. LCA helped me create such a welcoming place to visit with students, staff, and parents and has allowed our counseling team to attend Christian Counseling conferences that are inspiring and where we know we’re receiving training and resources that align with our worldview. Being able to pray over students, parents, and staff, oftentimes with a precious therapy dog by their side, is a blessing I never take for granted.

Where do you attend church, and how are you involved?

My family attends the Hope Fellowship main campus, and we have been at Hope for about eight years now. I am involved in Women’s Bible Study and the Young Professionals group. As a family, my children and I enjoy many of the
