My Family

I grew up in Austin, Texas and then moved to Waco, Texas to attend Baylor University. At Baylor I received my bachelors in social work before deciding to pursue teaching through Teach for America. I spent one year teaching in Oak Cliff before moving to North Carolina while my husband finished law school. When we moved back to Frisco to be close to family I decided to start my training to become a dyslexia therapist. My husband and I have been married for 9 years and have two sweet boys, Greyson and Charlie.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

The thing I love most about working at LCA is the fact that I get to speak truth into our neurodiverse students. God has created each of us uniquely and perfectly. Often times that is not communicated when it comes to learning differences. I love that I get to openly encourage my students with that truth.

Where do you attend church, and how are you involved?

For the past two years we have been attending Providence Church in Frisco in the morning and continuing to serve in the High School Ministry at Bent Tree. In May we will graduate the students we began leading as 6th graders.
