My Family

My husband and I are originally from Monroe, LA. We will have been married for 24 years this summer. We have two boys: Dylan just finished his freshman year at UT Austin where he is majoring in Electrical and computer engineering and Colin will be a senior in high school. We have a chug named Bruiser.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

What I love most about LCA is the people, my coworkers, and the students. Showing up to work everyday means getting to hang out with people that are like a second family. My coworkers are friends who support each other, laugh together, cry together and pray together. And we are a group of life long learners who are always pushing each other to grow-we make each other better! I look forward to showing up to work after the weekend because I get to see everyone. I know my students will be waiting to share their stories from the weekend and talk about life before starting math.

What hobbies do you have? Or what is a fun fact?

My family really loves to travel and get outdoors. We particularly enjoy the mountains in the summer for activities like hiking and rafting. And we tend to go on a cruise about once a year. We also really like escape rooms. When at home, I like to read, take long walks often stopping by a coffee shop, binge a tv series, or play VR video games. We can also often be found in the middle of a diy project.
