My Family

I am originally from Colombia, South America. I grew up in a big loving family and I am the 4th of 6 siblings. I have called the USA my home since 1988. I was married to my husband Mike for 31 years. He went to be with the Lord in December of 2020. Together we had two wonderful kids, Natasha and Mikey, both LCA alumni. I am now the proud Mimi of two amazing grandkids, Alyssa, 12 and Alexander, 5. I also have an old, beautiful, and demanding Basset Hound named Hazel. Together as a family, we love traveling the world, specially going on cruises.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

What I love the most about teaching at Legacy is not only that I get to share my beautiful Spanish Language and Culture but I also get to share my Christian faith with my students. LCA it's not just a job, it's family! Legacy is a place where I get to form great relationships not only with my peers but with my students as well.

What is your favorite scripture? Why?

My favorite Scripture is: Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

I love this Scripture because it speaks about how life can be full of challenges. Sometimes we face sorrows and tough decisions. But even amidst hardships, the Lord counsels us to be strong and courageous. This Scripts helps us face hard things with faith and confidence. It reminds us that God is always with us no matter what.
