My Family

My name is Morgan Martin and I'm the Director of Marketing and Sports Information at LCA. I'm a native Texan and relocated from Texarkana to the DFW area in 2015. I'm the lone female in the Martin household with my husband Travis, sons Cooper ('38) and Nolan ('41), and two dogs Duke & Bandit. Our household revolves around different seasons – sports season that is. You can find us at a nearby on field, court, course, or watching games at home. I'm usually pretty easy to pick out from a crowd as I proudly wear America's BRIGHTEST orange for my alma mater, Oklahoma State University! When we aren't doing all of the sporty things, we look for any reason to plan a trip to see Mickey & his pals at Disney World. We attend Preston Trail Community Church & would love to welcome any new families looking for a place to call home!

Why do you choose to work at Legacy?

I choose to work at Legacy because I know that the work that we do here will go above and beyond the walls of our campus. To see the way that our teachers integrate a Christian worldview into not only their schoolwork but in how they treat their students and teach them to show the love of Christ to their peers and all they meet is truly incredible. I'm fortunate enough to be in a role where I see this carried out across every division and have the privilege to share their work with our families and community through our marketing and communications.

What is your favorite scripture and why?

My favorite scripture is Philippians 1:6 and reads, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” I love this scripture because of the simple message that it brings – that our God who has started a good work in each of us will see it through to completion because He is a good God and has worked through every single detail of our lives with full intentionality..

What is your favorite book, show, or movie?

I've always been a game show nerd. Ever since I was young I would watch Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right – you name it. My family loves to watch these shows together and compete to see who would “win”. A fun fact is that I was actually a contestant on Wheel of Fortune in 2018.
