My Family

I grew up and went to school in Colorado. I moved to Texas and worked as a mechanical engineer at Texas Instruments before starting my family. Chris and I have been married for 22 years and we have three boys; Connor is a sophomore in college, Caden is a junior in high school, and Colton is an 8th grader at Legacy. During the transition from engineer to stay-at-home mom, I felt called to teach. I taught at our church preschool for four years and then began teaching math at a small Christian school in Wylie. I taught high school math for 11 years before transitioning to Legacy middle school. If I'm not at school, you'll probably find me on a sports field supporting my boys and my students. In my free time I love to cook, workout, read, and travel.

What do students get at Legacy that they won’t get somewhere else?

The teachers at Legacy truly love your children. The middle school team wants your child to be successful and provides enrichment, help sessions, and support to help them reach their potential.

What are you passionate about? What brings you joy?

I am passionate about building relationships with students and families. These relationships enable open communication, teachable moments, and the opportunity to share Scripture and the love of Jesus.
