My Family

My family is made up of my husband Raúl, my daughter Asiel, Jack our naughty dog and I. We are from Venezuela and approximately 8 years ago we decided to come to the United States to make a new life, with more opportunities for welfare and progress, especially for Asiel.

Why do you choose to work at Legacy?

In addition to being a school with high academic standards, we are a family united in the Christian faith.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

I love teaching my native language, Spanish, which means constantly learning about it, plus it allows me to transmit a bit of my roots, culture and customs to my students, as part of their learning process.

What is your favorite part of the school day?

My favorite part of the day is our morning meeting, We pray to the Lord for our family, our students and we sing praises in his name. We use , “El Cuatro” is a four-stringed instrument of colonial origin from the guitar family that is used in all the folkloric rhythms of Venezuela. Our students love it too.

What is your favorite scripture? Why?

Isaiah 41:13
I love this verse, because when we decided to come and live in this country, far from our affections and customs, I clung to it with the firm conviction and faith that God would always be there to help us, and it was like that and it will be like that forever. I love you Jesus.
