Counseling

The mission of the Legacy Christian Academy Counseling Department is to foster the spiritual, relational, and emotional wellbeing of each student while providing resources and support for our Legacy staff and families.

Legacy is dedicated to supporting our students and their families by providing compassionate, comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate care and programming to address all students' spiritual, social, and emotional needs from Pre-K 3 through 12th grade.

Here at Legacy, we value social/emotional health and believe that it is integral in helping our students reach their full potential to become all God has created them to be.  With a licensed counselor in each division, our Counseling Department helps students grow in their social/emotional development by providing proactive student education, individual counseling, and small group meetings. We also offer indirect services to bolster that support including consultation with parents, collaboration with teachers, and the provision of outside referrals and resources as needed. We welcome a partnership with parents and the community in order to encourage a team approach that will help ensure each child’s overall success!

Our counselors recognize that each student is unique and wonderfully made by God, designed for a purpose, and precious in His eyes.  We believe in imago Dei and respect that all students are created in the image of God with a diversity of gifts and callings. Acting as student advocates, our goal is to be a safe haven for all students, a place where they can come and feel heard and supported, and loved, a place where they leave feeling more peaceful than when they arrived

Meet the Counseling Team

Our doors are open to the Legacy community. We invite students, parents, faculty, and staff to visit our offices, introduce themselves, and get to know their divisional counselors.
