Clay, Clay, Clay!

Art Club expectations mirror those of the school day at LCA.  So, please make sure your student understands that disruptive behavior that affects the learning atmosphere will not be tolerated and is grounds for permanent dismissal from the club.

Cost: $180.00 per student for the spring semester, this covers all supplies and instruction.

Refund policy:  100% refund until the start date.  After the first session, up to 50% will be retained if the opening is not filled.

Age: 4^th grade on Wednesday, 5^th grade on Tuesday

Class Size: Minimum of 10, maximum of 20 students

4th grade Sessions: 4^th Grade Wednesday Sessions: 3:30-4:30 every Wednesday for 10 weeks, beginning Wednesday, January 24th and the last class will be April 3rd. We will not meet the week of Spring Break.

5th grade Sessions: 5th Grade Tuesday Sessions: 3:45-4:45 every Tuesday for 10 weeks, beginning Tuesday, January 23rd and the last class will be April 2nd. 

Location: LS art room

Drop off/Pick up: At dismissal, students will proceed to my classroom in the hallway near the West entrance. At the end of each session, I will walk students to the WEST entrance for pick up.

Description:
This class is geared for the student who is interested in sculpture, clay methods and wants to have fun learning new art techniques!  We will explore different types of clay and even make our own clay recipes.  We will work in relief and sculptural forms. Students will learn how to use various tools, create textures along with other clay building skills and some painting techniques.  At the end of each project, students will bring home his/her creations and at the end of the sessions each student will bring home the remaining supplies/tools used in class.

If you do not receive a confirmation and receipt by email, you are not registered.  I will also get a confirmation email showing that you are signed up.  I will send you a welcome to art club email.  Please look out for these communications right after you fill out the online form.  Once spaces fill the online registration will close.
