The 2017-2018 Varsity Tennis season starts on Monday January 29 at the Lakes Tennis Academy in Frisco. We visited with Arabella Blanc, Legacy junior and team captain, to better understand Legacy's program.

Where do we practice and why?

The team practices at The Lakes Tennis Academy about a mile south of campus. A plus to practicing here is the quality coaching we receive from the tennis pros at Lakes Tennis Academy.

When are practices?

Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5:00pm.

Tennis season is always my favorite part of the year. I cannot wait to see the growth among returning players along with the new teammates. I am super excited to see what this season holds!”
-Arabella Blanc, Junior & Tennis Captain

How long is the season?

The length of season differs from player to player but overall it lasts from our first practice in January to the district tournament at the end of March. Our full schedule will be available soon at visit legacyca.com/athletics.

Who is the head coach?

The 2017-2018 head tennis coach, Kayli Diamond, is a former player from Wheaton College in Illinois. She coached at a private school in the suburbs of Chicago up until last year when she moved to Frisco to start a church. The tennis team feels blessed to have her expertise and leadership this year.

What do I need to play?

All you need is a tennis racket, proper court shoes, and a good attitude.
