The School of Fine Arts welcomes Jim Hutchinson to address our students as the first symposium speaker for the Professional Schools Program. Jim is an acclaimed artist who splits his time between family, painting, designing, and teaching. He is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College and holds a master’s degree from Marywood University.

His twenty-nine years of professional artistic contributions include being an illustrator/designer for A Beka Books Publications, commissions for Fort Worth Magazine and Dayspring Cards where he provided various illustrations and portraits, a commissioned portrait of Dr. William Dean for Dallas Baptist University. Most recently he completed a series of paintings for the “Ancient Man” exhibit at the Ark Encounter Museum in Williamstown, KY.

As an educator, Jim feels that “as Christians who happen to be artists and designers, we must use our skills to impact the world for Christ.”

Jim Hutchinson’s symposium will be presented for the School of Fine Arts on October 9th  at 2:45 pm.
